Creative Leadership & Brand Strategy

A seasonal campaign built to turn limited-time menu items into headline acts.
Industry: Restaurant
Role: Sr. Creative Manager
Scope: Creative Direction • Campaign Strategy • Brand Activation • Photography • Video Production • Retail Merchandising • Environmental Graphics
Recognition: MarCom Platinum Award
Business Goal
Transform 4Rivers' annual summer promotion into a unified seasonal campaign that could drive retail sales, strengthen brand recognition, and create a consistent customer experience across restaurant, retail, digital, and social channels.
Challenge
Each summer, 4Rivers introduced a new lineup of limited-time menu items, but previous promotions functioned as individual product launches rather than a cohesive campaign. The opportunity was to create a seasonal brand experience that built anticipation and connected every customer touchpoint.
Strategy
Rather than promoting individual menu items, the campaign positioned each limited-time offering as a featured performer arriving on tour. Music-inspired branding, merchandise, social content, in-store experiences, and motion graphics all worked together to transform seasonal promotions into a cohesive campaign customers could recognize wherever they encountered the brand.
Execution
Led creative strategy and campaign development from concept through execution, directing photography, video, retail merchandising, environmental graphics, digital marketing, and broadcast creative. Partnered with marketing leadership and cross-functional teams to build a repeatable campaign system that extended consistently across every customer touchpoint.
Outcome
MarCom Platinum Award winner
Generated $183K+ in promotional sales (2.03% of campaign revenue)
Reached more than 700,000 loyalty members
Achieved 2%+ engagement across digital channels
Created a repeatable campaign framework adaptable for future seasonal promotions
Campaign Story
The campaign reframed each limited-time offering as a touring "artist," blending barbecue culture with music nostalgia to create something that felt both familiar and unexpected. From restaurant signage to digital marketing, every touchpoint reinforced the idea that new menu items weren't simply launching—they were going live.
Social campaigns drove engagement through concert ticket giveaways, while limited-run merchandise translated campaign graphics into wearable extensions of the experience. Inside each restaurant, animated menu boards and environmental graphics continued the concert theme, creating consistency from first impression through purchase.
Rather than functioning as individual marketing pieces, every asset contributed to a single campaign system that connected restaurant operations, retail, digital marketing, photography, motion graphics, and customer experience into one recognizable seasonal identity.
